Primary 1 Maths Questions

Patterns, sequencing, basic addition and subtraction follow on from counting and number recognition. By the time your child is starting primary 1, they should be able to count to 20 with ease, write numbers, do simple addition sums, and have some understanding of patterns and sequences. Extra practice at home will help them improve their math.

By kindergarten, your child is ready to move onto mathematics worksheets. At Primary 1, math questions worksheets help to bring some structure into your child’s education using a systematic teaching method, particularly important with math, which follows a natural progression.

There are many good primary 1 maths questions available. However with a regular book, a child can do each worksheet only once. An alternative good option is to use printable worksheets. These are basically digital versions (in PDFs) of worksheets that can be bought and downloaded to your computer and then printed out. The advantage is that you can print out whichever sheet you wish. If you need to reinforce a certain concept more you can usually print out that sheet again. Of course you will therefore need to have a computer and a printer.
